The comic strip featuring rescue dog Wilson and pedigreed cat Dewey is now appearing in Sunday Cartoons programming on Atmosphere TV’s NOW channel.
Saved & Spoiled, the comic strip created by Massachusetts cartoonist John Yuskaitis, is now appearing on Atmosphere TV’s NOW channel as part of its Sunday Cartoons programming. NOW streams in more than 6,800 venues and reaches approximately 250,000 viewers each day, giving Wilson and Dewey a new audience beyond the web, social media, and print.
The placement brings Wilson and Dewey beyond the web and social media and into an out-of-home television environment seen in businesses and public venues. The Sunday programming gives viewers a chance to discover short-form comics while watching NOW away from home.
“Seeing Wilson and Dewey show up on screens in places around the country is a pretty incredible next step for Saved & Spoiled,” said Yuskaitis. “The strip was built around quick, self-contained moments, so this is a really natural way for new people to meet the characters.”
Saved & Spoiled launched in June 2025 and follows Wilson, an enthusiastic rescue dog, and Dewey, a pedigreed cat whose carefully ordered life is repeatedly interrupted by him. New comics are published throughout the week at savedspoiled.com.

The comic strip reaches its 250th installment just over a year after launching in June 2025.
Saved & Spoiled has reached its 250th published comic, marking a major production milestone for the independently created strip just over a year after its launch.
Created by Massachusetts cartoonist John Yuskaitis, Saved & Spoiled follows Wilson, a rescue dog with seemingly endless enthusiasm, and Dewey, a pedigreed cat whose quiet life changes the moment Wilson arrives. The strip draws from the personalities, routines, and small absurdities familiar to people who share their homes with animals.
“Two hundred and fifty comics went by a lot faster than I expected,” said Yuskaitis. “The goal from the beginning was to keep drawing, keep learning who Wilson and Dewey are, and build something readers could come back to regularly. Reaching 250 makes the amount of work behind the strip feel very real.”
Since launching in June 2025, Saved & Spoiled has expanded through print collections, convention appearances, online platforms, and new distribution opportunities while continuing to publish new comics regularly.

The comic strip records a second consecutive Comic-Con book sellout, with more than 150 copies sold during the 2026 convention.
Saved & Spoiled completed its second San Diego Comic-Con appearance with another book sellout, with more than 150 copies sold during the five-day convention.
Creator John Yuskaitis returned to the Small Press area with several Saved & Spoiled collections, including a 2026 Comic-Con exclusive edition created specifically for the show. The response marked a significant increase from the comic’s first convention appearance and its initial sellout the previous year.
“Selling out at Comic-Con last year was the first sign that Saved & Spoiled could really connect with people in person,” said Yuskaitis. “Coming back a year later with more than three times as many books and selling out again was an incredible way to see how much the comic resonates with readers.”
The convention appearance also continued the project’s support of animal rescue efforts. Following the show, Yuskaitis made a donation to A Place For Ace, a Massachusetts-based dog rescue organization.

A limited-edition convention collection will be available exclusively at Small Press Table O-13, while supplies last.
Cartoonist John Yuskaitis will debut a limited-edition Saved & Spoiled Comic-Con exclusive book at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, taking place July 22-26 in San Diego, California. Yuskaitis will appear in the Small Press area at Table O-13, where readers can pick up the exclusive collection while supplies last.
Saved & Spoiled is a family-friendly comic strip inspired by Yuskaitis’ real life with rescue dogs, with one of his current rescue dogs, Wilson, serving as the ringleader. The comic follows Wilson, a lovable rescue dog, and Dewey, a pedigree cat, as they learn to share a home, a family, and the living room furniture. The strip mixes classic comic timing with modern pet-parent chaos, offering humor for dog lovers, cat lovers, rescue families, and anyone who has ever been judged by a pet.
The Comic-Con exclusive edition collects the early adventures of Wilson and Dewey with a special convention-only cover. The book is designed as a collectible for readers discovering the strip at the convention, as well as readers who have followed the characters online.
“San Diego Comic-Con is where Saved & Spoiled first found readers in person last year, so bringing an exclusive edition back to the show feels very special,” said John Yuskaitis, creator of Saved & Spoiled. “Wilson and Dewey are inspired by the kind of pet behavior so many families recognize: the food drama, the couch politics, the ridiculous loyalty, and the quiet sweetness underneath it all.”
The appearance comes during a growing year for Saved & Spoiled. The comic has built an online readership through weekday comic strips, social media, and a weekly rescue dog spotlight feature. Earlier this month, the Saved & Spoiled: Paw’dners Fur-ever Kindle edition reached #1 in Comic Strips and #2 in Cartoons on Amazon’s Best Seller lists during a free Kindle promotion.
The Comic-Con exclusive book will be available only at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 at Small Press Table O-13. Readers can follow the comic online and learn more at www.savedspoiled.com.

“I wanted a simple way for people to share the strip with friends and family who might not spend much time on social media,” said Yuskaitis. “An affordable paperback felt like the right next step.”

The comic’s San Diego Comic-Con debut connects with pet owners and comic readers at SDCC 2025.
Saved & Spoiled made its San Diego Comic-Con debut in 2025 and found a welcoming audience of animal lovers and comic readers. Creator John Yuskaitis sold out of the first collected book and moved dozens of bumper stickers and character stickers to fans who wanted to share their own pet stories.
One independent pet shop owner purchased a batch of bumper stickers to resell in their store – a small but encouraging sign that the comic connects with people who live and work with animals.
“I brought a modest amount of books and stickers to San Diego just to see what would happen,” said Yuskaitis. “The steady interest, and the way people immediately shared stories about their own rescue pets, told me I was on the right track.”
